Many companies take an environmentally responsible position only to be let down by the organisations that supply them. City & Essex is committed to working closely with clients who have their own environmental policies as well as with suppliers whose manufacturing processes produce environmentally friendly products.
As a BS EN ISO 14001 registered company our environmental policy is not a piece of wall art that has little effect on the company and its activities. City & Essex are constantly looking at new ways to tackle sustainability in our own and our customer’s workplace.
As one of the first companies to employ micro-fibre cleaning techniques our drive to eliminate harmful chemicals has seen us embrace environmentally sensitive cleaning products. Refuse sacks are made from 100% recycled UK waste and all paper is sourced from sustainable sources.
Hybrid vehicles make up our fleet making savings on fuel and CO2 emissions. In addition, we only recruit from local labour resources to encourage the use of public transport for staff to get to work.
